My trip to London was a memorable, exciting, and deeply enriching experience that I will always cherish. My journey began in Benin City, from where I travelled through Lagos, Nigeria, to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in Ethiopia, before continuing to Gatwick Airport in London.
On arriving in London, I was warmly welcomed and proceeded to stay at my brother’s house in Eltham. Staying with my brother made my visit more comfortable and enjoyable, as I had someone familiar around me while experiencing a new environment.
One of the major reasons for my trip was to attend the ECOBA UK/Ireland 2026 Convention, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Dartford. The convention provided a wonderful opportunity to meet people, interact with members of the ECOBA family, share experiences, and participate in the activities of the event. It was an interesting, rewarding, and memorable experience.
During my stay, Engineer Greg U. Ogbeifun also took us to the Bluewater Shopping Centre for shopping. It was a lovely experience visiting the different shops and enjoying the modern and beautiful environment. We had a wonderful time together, and the outing added another special memory to my London experience.
I also had the opportunity to visit the O2 Arena, which was another exciting experience. Seeing such a famous and impressive venue in person was fascinating, and I enjoyed taking in the atmosphere and the surrounding environment.
Another particularly memorable part of my trip was visiting Buckingham Palace. Seeing the palace in person was special because of its rich historical significance and its association with the British Royal Family. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience one of London’s most famous landmarks beyond the pictures and stories I had previously known.
Apart from these places, I visited several other interesting locations around London. Each place offered something new to see, learn, and appreciate. I enjoyed experiencing the city, its people, transportation system, architecture, culture, and way of life.
Looking back, however, the greatest value of this journey goes beyond the places I visited. It was also about the people, the relationships, the kindness I experienced, and the memories created along the way.
I therefore want to take a special moment to reflect with immense gratitude on this entire experience and, most importantly, to appreciate my benefactor and father in deed, Engineer Greg U. Ogbeifun, for the extraordinary kindness, generosity, compassion, and support he showed to me and my family. His thoughtfulness and willingness to make this journey possible created an experience that I will not easily forget. I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity, the hospitality, the fellowship, and the many beautiful moments that came with it.
I am equally grateful to the entire ECOBA family for the warmth, acceptance, love, and sense of belonging extended to us throughout the visit. It was beautiful to witness the strength of the ECOBA family and the genuine bonds that exist among its members. The experience reminded me that family is not defined only by blood, but also by shared history, values, friendship, service, and genuine concern for one another.
I am particularly grateful for the way my husband, Mr. Justice Eghe Aigbe, was received, honoured, and valued by this wonderful ECOBA family. Seeing the respect and affection accorded to him was deeply touching to me as his wife. I sincerely appreciate everyone who made him feel appreciated and welcomed. May the Lord continue to strengthen him and bless the relationships he has built through ECOBA over the years.
A PRAYER OF GRATITUDE
My prayer is that Almighty God will continue to bless the ECOBA family worldwide, preserve its unity, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that hold the association together. May ECOBA continue to grow in wisdom, purpose, influence, and service, and may every member experience the blessings of belonging to such a remarkable family.
May God bless the leadership of ECOBA, both past and present, and grant wisdom, strength, good health, and divine direction to everyone contributing to the growth and success of the association.
I also pray specially for Engineer Greg U. Ogbeifun. May the Almighty God reward his generosity and compassion towards me, my husband, and my family. May every good seed he has sown through his kindness return to him in abundance. May God enlarge his coast, preserve his family, grant him good health and long life, and continue to use him as an instrument of blessing to others.
May God also continue to bless my dear husband, Mr. Justice Eghe Aigbe, for the privilege of being valued and embraced by this wonderful ECOBA family. May the relationships, friendships, and goodwill he has built over the years continue to open doors of meaningful opportunities, service, and positive impact.
Finally, I pray that the blessings and goodwill generated by this London experience will not end with the journey. May they continue to produce beautiful and lasting fruits in our lives, our families, ECOBA, Edo College, and the wider community.
For now, I will pause and allow myself to reminisce over the entire journey—the places, the people, the conversations, the laughter, the kindness, the fellowship, and the unforgettable moments.
I am sincerely grateful to God Almighty for making the journey possible and to everyone who contributed to making it so special.
May God bless the ECOBA family.
May God bless Engineer Greg U. Ogbeifun.
May God bless my husband and my family.
And may God continue to bless every relationship formed in love, kindness, and service.
Amen.
Mrs. Juliet Osarhiemen Aigbe
